Changelog

What reached Aurora, newest first, with the date it went live. Only shipped changes are listed; planned work lives on the roadmap. Last update: Oct 12, 2026.

  1. Talk to the Studio composer

The microphone button in AI Studio now works: press it, speak, press again, and your words appear in the composer.

    • Dictation uses your browser's own speech recognition when it can reach its service, and otherwise records and lets Aurora transcribe when you stop — it switches by itself within the same tap, so it works on networks where the browser's service is blocked.
    • Recordings are capped at one minute and are not kept. If your browser blocks the microphone, the composer says so.
    • The paperclip button, which had never done anything, is gone until attachments exist. “Compare models” and “Voice mode” left the Studio sidebar; both are still one ⌘K away (Studio · Compare, Studio · Voice).
  2. Email links that survive your mail app

Confirmation and password-reset links now open a page with one button, so a mail app that peeks at links can no longer use yours up.

    • Mail apps and providers often open the links in an email before you do. A link was good for one use, so by the time you pressed it you could see “expired”. Now the link just shows a button — nothing happens until you press it.
    • Links work on any device: open the email on your phone, press Confirm my email, and you're in.
    • If a link of yours was used up this way before today, your email is already confirmed — just sign in with your password.
  3. Sign-up works when your browser translates the page

Creating an account, signing in and resetting a password no longer break when your browser is translating Aurora.

    • On a translated page, pressing Create free account could end on a “Something went wrong” screen even though the account had been created. That no longer happens, and the same protection covers the rest of the app.
    • On translated pages the email address you typed is shown exactly as typed, and the resend countdown keeps counting.
  4. Email confirmation and clearer account emails

Email sign-ups now confirm their address with a link, and account emails are sent from aurora@langyuange.com.

    • Signing up with email sends a confirmation link; signing up with GitHub or Google works as before.
    • Didn't get the email? The check-your-email screen — and the sign-in page, for an account that isn't confirmed yet — can send a fresh link, once a minute.
    • A link that has expired, was already used, or was opened in a different browser now says what happened and what to do next, instead of showing an error code.
    • Password-reset emails are now sent to every account.
  5. Aurora Business for teams

A per-seat team plan: every seat gets Pro-level access, and the team owner manages seats, roles and one PayPal bill. Enterprise is available through sales.

    • Business is $25 per seat per month, or $20 per seat per month billed annually, with a 2-seat minimum and up to 100 seats self-serve.
    • Every seat gets everything in Pro: frontier models, Agent Mode, image and video generation, and all eight modules.
    • Create a team from Team in the sidebar. Owners and admins invite people by email or a single-use link that expires after 7 days; the owner changes the seat count through PayPal.
    • Owners and admins see a per-member usage view — counts of chat messages and image, voice and video generations since each person joined — never the content. Each member's notes and chats stay private.
    • Enterprise, from 50 seats, is sold through sales: volume pricing, an annual contract with invoice billing, and seats set up for you.
    • Terms, privacy and refund policies now cover team plans; the 7-day refund applies to the first payment of a new Business subscription.
  6. Honest entity data, a real changelog, dated comparisons

The bare name "Aurora" is shared with unrelated products, so the site now tells search and answer engines exactly which Aurora this is.

    • Organization, WebSite and SoftwareApplication schema carry the names "Aurora by Langyuange" and "Aurora (langyuange.com)".
    • Removed a twitter:site handle that belonged to an unrelated account; the app is listed as web-only (mobile apps remain on the roadmap).
    • This page replaced a placeholder that promised weekly posts. Entries are dated and only list what shipped.
    • Comparison pages now show their published and reviewed dates.
    • Homepage: use-case cards replaced placeholder testimonials; the trust strip no longer mentions a plugin SDK or MCP support, which are not shipped.
  7. Six head-to-head comparisons, real persona pages, four more articles

The demand-capture layer of the marketing site, plus a second round of claim corrections on the trust pages.

    • /compare now has dedicated pages for ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Notion AI, Microsoft 365 Copilot and Jasper. Each states where the competitor is stronger.
    • /for/creators, /for/builders and /for/students are full landing pages instead of placeholders.
    • The blog grew to seven articles and gained an RSS feed at /blog/rss.xml.
    • Corrected /security and /privacy: there is no per-account data-region choice and no zero-retention flags on provider calls; the sub-processor list now names every provider actually in the request path.
    • Technical: the apex domain redirects to www, English and Chinese legal pages link each other with hreflang, a web manifest and Apple icon were added, and Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights were enabled (disclosed on /cookies).
  8. Blog, generated social images, dynamic sitemap

The first long-form content and the plumbing that lets engines find it.

    • Three cornerstone articles: the all-in-one AI workspace, the Personal Context Graph, and AI subscription fatigue.
    • Shared links now render a real 1200×630 preview image.
    • The sitemap is generated from the content catalogs; llms.txt was refreshed for AI crawlers.
  9. Studio model picker with a real catalog

Choosing a model is a searchable, grouped picker instead of a flat list.

    • Cascading, searchable picker grouped by provider; the catalog was refreshed to current versions, newest first.
    • Plus and Pro replies state the model that actually answered.
    • Free stays on Auto routing; picking a specific model is a Plus feature and frontier models are Pro.
  10. Referrals, bug reports, self-healing deploys

Small things that make the app easier to share and easier to fix.

    • "Share to others": invite friends from the sidebar and earn Plus days (3 days when you start, +2 per friend who signs up, capped).
    • A Report-a-bug button in the sidebar sends a note straight to the maintainer.
    • After a deploy, stale tabs recover automatically instead of showing a client-side error.
  11. Video generation fixes, a 15-second option, faster navigation

Creation Hub's video tab stopped timing out, and switching modules feels instant.

    • Video: completed clips are picked up reliably and rate limits during polling no longer abort the job; a 15-second length was added.
    • Module pages render immediately with skeletons while data loads; the note editor loads lazily.
  12. MiniMax models, free voice-over, password management

A second provider behind text, image and voice, and voice-over opened to every plan.

    • MiniMax is the preferred provider for Auto-routed chat, image generation and voice-over, with automatic fallback.
    • Voice-over is free on every plan; image and video generation are Plus and above.
    • Change your password from Settings; the reset-password link lands on the right page.
    • Free users hitting a Plus-only generation see an upgrade card instead of an error.
  13. Marketing-vs-reality audit

Every advertised claim was checked against the code and cut or reworded to what ships.

    • Removed integrations that never existed (calendar sync, inbox, CRM, health sync, bank aggregation, plugin/MCP/API) and false end-to-end-encryption copy.
    • Removed unenforced storage, device and API-quota lines from every plan.
    • Image, audio and video generation were gated behind Plus so the Free plan gets exactly what it advertises.
    • An automated claims-consistency test now runs before every release.
  14. Chinese legal pages and the mainland-China notice

Terms, privacy and refund policies in Chinese, and a clear statement of where Aurora is available.

    • /zh/terms, /zh/privacy and /zh/refund mirror the English pages.
    • Aurora is not available to users in mainland China; product pages say so instead of failing silently.
  15. Free, Plus and Pro plans with PayPal billing

The subscription model went live with real enforcement behind each tier.

    • Three personal plans: Free (100 AI messages a month), Plus $19.99/mo, Pro $39.99/mo; annual billing saves 25%.
    • Frontier models and Agent Mode are Pro; upgrades and cancellations happen on /upgrade through PayPal.
    • Sign-in is email, GitHub or Google.
  16. Creation Hub: Code, Design and Video tabs

Creation Hub grew from writing and images to code generation, design mockups and text-to-video.

    • Code: generate, explain, refactor, debug, review and write tests across eight languages.
    • Design: posters, UI mocks, brand assets and illustrations in five size presets.
    • Video: text-to-video with progress polling; long jobs no longer time out.
  17. Connect, Wellness and Finance modules

The last three of the eight modules reached their first usable version.

    • Connect: AI compose for six channels and tones, polish, and translation into 15 languages.
    • Wellness: an AI daily plan (move, meditate, eat, sleep) with check-ins and a 14-day streak.
    • Finance: a manual subscription tracker with monthly and annual totals and an AI budget analysis.
  18. Personal Context Graph, multi-model compare, Web Clipper, Agent Mode, Canvas

The Studio and Second Brain features that make Aurora more than a chat window.

    • Personal Context Graph: turn Brain on in the Studio composer and answers are grounded in your own notes.
    • Side-by-side multi-model compare, a Canvas drawer to edit and iterate on any answer, and Agent Mode, a planner that uses Brain, Life OS and Creation Hub as tools.
    • Web Clipper bookmarklet saves a page or selection into Second Brain; notes are auto-tagged; the Audio tab produces voice-over.
    • Life OS sends a daily 7 am summary email.

If something here does not match what you see in the app, tell us from the Report-a-bug button in the workspace sidebar.
