Frequently asked questions
Is there a free AI study tool that includes flashcards?
Aurora's Free plan includes 100 AI messages a month with all eight modules unlocked on standard models, which covers the study-path planner, block notes with semantic search, and auto-generated flashcards with SM-2 spaced repetition. Image and video generation require the Plus plan.
Does Aurora have a student discount?
There is no student pricing tier. What exists instead is a Free plan that unlocks all eight modules, and a referral programme: inviting friends earns free Plus time — three days for the first friend and two more for each after, up to a cap of fifteen friends or thirty-one days.
Can Aurora replace Anki?
For most students, yes. Second Brain generates flashcards from your own notes and schedules reviews with the SM-2 spaced-repetition algorithm Anki popularised. What it doesn't have is Anki's add-on ecosystem, shared deck marketplace, or fine-grained scheduler tuning.
Does the AI actually know my course material?
Only what you give it. Notes and clipped pages are embedded into a private, row-level-security-scoped vector index; turning on “Use my Brain” in a chat retrieves the relevant ones as grounding context. Nothing is shared with other accounts or used to train shared models.
